The luxury crossover has recently received a mid-cycle update and not only that we have seen a lot of styling novelties, but the new model also comes with important novelties under the hood. This primarily refers to European models, considering that infamous TDI engines aren’t allowed in North America anymore, due to emission scandals.There is a couple of new version of this oil burner, with more power and better efficiency. Novelties of this update are numerous but engines feel most interesting in our opinion. There are two new versions of the familiar TDI oil-burner. Of course, we are still talking about the same 3.0-liter V6, which comes with a notable power boost, so the base version now features a max output of 228 horsepower and 369 pound-feet of torque.

A more powerful version of this engine has also received a notable power boost, so a max output now goes around 285 horsepower and 445 pound-feet of torque. On the other side, a large 4.0-liter V8 TDI has remained untouched and delivers a max output of around 430 horsepower and 665 pound-feet of torque.

When it comes to the exterior design, the 2021 Audi Q7 TDI has also come with numerous updates recently. While the overall shape seems familiar, you can easily notice a completely new face, which closely resembles the new Q8. The same thing goes for the rear end.

The new version features much sharper lines and looks far more upscale. In terms of dimensions, we haven’t seen changes and the 2021 Audi Q7 TDI will definitely continue in a familiar wagon-like layout, rather than in a typical SUV shape.

We presume that the 2021 Audi Q7 TDI will hit the market sometime in the last quarter of the next year. The current model starts at around 65,000 Euro. Key competitors are models like BMW X5, Volvo XC90, Mercedes-Benz GLE etc.
