The luxury crossover has recently received a mid-cycle update and not only that we have seen a lot of styling novelties, but the new model also comes with important novelties under the hood. This primarily refers to European models, considering that infamous TDI engines aren’t allowed in North America anymore, due to emission scandals. There is a couple of new version of this oil burner, with more power and better efficiency. Also, there is a new styling, which brings the newest design solutions of the German manufacturer. Here is a short 2021 Audi Q7 TDI Review.
- Efficient and powerful engine options
- Impressive interior quality
- Updated styling looks amazing
- Precise handling
- Tight third row
- High price tag
Novelties of this update are numerous but engines feel most interesting in our opinion. There are two new versions of the familiar TDI oil-burner. Of course, we are still talking about the same 3.0-liter V6, which comes with a notable power boost, so the base version now features a max output of 228 horsepower and 369 pound-feet of torque.
A more powerful version of this engine has also received a notable power boost, so a max output now goes around 285 horsepower and 445 pound-feet of torque. On the other side, a large 4.0-liter V8 TDI has remained untouched and delivers a max output of around 430 horsepower and 665 pound-feet of torque.
When it comes to the exterior design, the 2021 Audi Q7 TDI has also come with numerous updates recently. While the overall shape seems familiar, you can easily notice a completely new face, which closely resembles the new Q8. The same thing goes for the rear end.
The new version features much sharper lines and looks far more upscale. In terms of dimensions, we haven’t seen changes and the 2021 Audi Q7 TDI will definitely continue in a familiar wagon-like layout, rather than in a typical SUV shape.
Changes on the inside are numerous as well. While the overall interior layout and dimensions have remained the same, the new model features a completely new dashboard design and the 2021 Audi Q7 TDI will definitely continue in the same way.
The new dashboard design looks really impressive and has a lot in common with the new Q8. Besides beautiful aesthetics, you can also count on an impressive amount of hi-tech features, as the cabin has been digitalized almost entirely.
