Given the recent 2020 refresh, we are pretty sure that the 2021 Ford F-350 won’t feature more significant changes. The 1-ton pickup truck has been around since 2017 and we are pretty sure there are several more years to come before we see a complete overhaul.
Despite the key rivals Silverado 3500 and Ram 3500 have been redesigned recently, the F-350 is still quite competitive, especially if we consider big engine updates hat came this year. With more power and torque, the 2021 Ford F-350 will be able to tow even more, although the exact numbers are still unavailable.
- Powerful engine options
- Spacious cabins
- Lots of standard and available features
- Strong towing capabilities
- Price jumps extremely fast
- Rivals can tow more
As we’ve just mentioned, the current generation has been updated this year, so we don’t expect bigger changes for the 2021 Ford F-350. We are about to see the same exterior design, which has been updated with a couple of very interesting novelties. In terms of the styling, the front end sports a new grill, while there are novelties on the rear end as well. Therefore, the best we could see for the next year could be a couple of new color options.
Also, we should mention that a new Tremor package has been introduced this year. It offers a full load of off-road upgrades, both in terms of mechanics and aesthetics.
On the inside, the recent update has brought a couple of small revisions too. Still, the overall interior design remained largely unchanged, so we believe that the same thing will remain for the 2021 Ford F-350 as well. This includes the same trim level organization as well.
By far, the biggest novelty of the recent update was the introduction of a new powertrain option. There is a new 7.3-liter V8 gasoline engine, with a max output of 430 horsepower and 475 pound-feet of torque. Still, base models will continue with a familiar 6.2-liter V8, which is good for about 375 hp and 430 lb-ft of torque.
Still, the upgrade of a diesel engine seems far more important. The new version comes with significant power and torque increase. A max output now goes around 475 horsepower and 1050 pound-feet of torque. Also, the engine now comes in pair with 10-speed automatic transmission. We are still waiting for the numbers in terms of towing capacity but there is no doubt that max ratings will now become even better than the current 32.000 pounds.
2021 Ford F-350 Release Date and Price
We expect to see 2021 Ford F-350 sometime in the last quarter of the next year. Base models should go around $35,000.
