The full-size truck has been redesigned recently and once again, the company offers the famous Denali trim level, which is reserved for the most luxurious versions of all models under the GMC badge. The 2021 GMC 1500 Sierra Denali will represent the third production year, so we probably won’t see too many changes.
Still, if we consider that a couple of updates is already coming for the second production year, we could expect some novelties in the future as well. This will probably refer to things like standard features, new exterior and interior color options etc.
- Luxurious cabin
- Long list of standard equipment
- Wide palette of engines
- Smooth ride
- Some rivals can haul and tow more
In terms of the exterior design, the 2021 GMC 1500 Sierra Denali probably won’t feature too many changes. As we’ve just mentioned, the best we could see are new color options. Other than that, we will see a familiar design, which is has been introduced last year.
Of course, the Denali comes with several distinctive details compared to the base version. There are unique grille design, exclusive wheels and color options, as well as a lot of chrome. Adaptive suspension dampers are another exclusive feature of this trim level, while some reports are also suggesting that the 2021 GMC 1500 Sierra Denali could come with an independent rear suspension in the offer.
On the inside, we probably won’t see too many changes on the dashboard. Once again, we will see exclusive color schemes in the offer, as well as a unique steering wheel design. The overall quality is impressive and this feels more luxurious than some other rivals in the class, including a much more expensive Ford F-150 Limited.
Other than that, the 2021 GMC 1500 Sierra Denali will be all about a full load of standard features. The current model already comes with a full load of standard equipment. This particularly refers safety features, as the list of standard equipment includes things like parking sensors, blind-spot monitoring and rear cross-traffic alert forward collision warning with automatic emergency braking and lane keeping assist.
Just like in the current model, we expect that the 2021 GMC 1500 Sierra Denali will be available with three engines. There are two familiar gasoline V8 units. A smaller features 5.3 liters and has a max output of 355 horsepower and 383 pound-feet of torque. On the other side, a bigger 6.2-liter unit is good for about 420 horsepower and 460 pound-feet of torque. The Denali trim is also available with a 3.0-liter turbodiesel engine. This one is good for about 277 horsepower and 460 pound-feet of torque.
2021 GMC 1500 Sierra Denali Release Date and Price
Despite there is a couple of possible updates, we expect that the 2021 GMC 1500 Sierra Denali will hit the market sometime late in the next year. When it comes to the price, base versions go around $58,000.
